For instance when beginning the paper the author gave a general overview of why he was writing the paper to give readers a overview as to why he was writing about his topic. A resignation letter should be professional no matter what job you are resigning from, just so your employer has impression of you when you leave. One element you can add to your letter is a positive tone regardless of whether or not you disliked the job. There is no need to leave a bad taste in the mouth of your employer. Maybe highlight what kind of knowledge or experience you’ve gained while working there to let your employers know that you have cared for and learned from working there. Annotate Symbols that I use when annotating are usually stars. I use stars to indicate whether that particular part is important. I also use squiggly lines to indicate when something seems unusual to me or if it's just something I want to come back to. Other ways to annotate effectively are to use different colors for different topics within the same article Circle the date to try and get more information about why the author wrote the article. Highlight interesting word choices used by the author. You can also write personal notes to yourself in order to remember the article better.
